Donnie Hult: Donnie is the head trainer at Hadnot Creek Kennel, and has over 30 years of experience, he has trained hundreds of dogs in his 35+ years working in this field. He has completed all types of training including military, police, scent discrimination, search and rescue, service dogs, works with numerous pet rescues, and does behavior modification. He is the owner of Hadnot Creek Kennel, which he took over from his dad in 1996, and has since made major improvement to the kennel.
Chris Jones: Chris has been working at Hadnot Creek Kennel for about 8 years, he was trained by the owner, Donnie Hult, through this he has been able to help numerous dogs and their owners have a happy existence with each other. He has trained two of his own dogs at home with the skills he learned from working here. He also has a German shepherd/Husky mix that has been trained in search and rescue. Along with working here full-time, he attends college part-time in New Bern in order to earn his Associate degree in Science.
Jessica Hult: Jessica was trained by her husband Donnie, and has been working at the kennel for 18 years, she is very energetic when training, but the dogs know when she has the leash she's the boss. She loves to make others happy and wants them to match her energy, and has a very can-do attitude towards everything she takes on. Along with working at the kennel she is the former president of the Issac Walton League of America, NC Hunter Education instructor, Election Judge, Chair of the Stella Precinct, and a Domestic Goddess. She definitely has her plate full, but makes it all look so easy.
Shelby Freeman: Shelby has been working at Hadnot Creek Kennel for about a year, who was trained by Donnie Hult and Chris Jones. She works closely with all the dogs in training, but gives as much attention as possible to the boarding dogs and cats. She was raised around hunting dogs, and helped her father train starting at the age of five. Along with working at the Kennel she travel along the East Coast to compete in the National Boat Building Challenges. She plans to start online college this upcoming year to receive her Associates degree in Business and Entrepreneurship.
Karl Yutrzenka: Karl has been working at Hadnot Creek Kennel for over 15 years, he is always a big help. He is the one checking on the dogs at night to make sure they are in still doing well and have plenty of water. Karl also comes into work around major holidays, when we are at our busiest! Aside from working at the Kennel, he works for Bluewater Builders, and likes to spend lots of time with his kids and his dogs. He will always have some sort of story to tell anytime you see him!
